Molecular Weight	The protein has a predicted molecular mass of 33.5 kDa after removal of the signal peptide. The apparent molecular mass of FSTL1-His is approximately 35-55 kDa due to glycosylation.

Background	This gene encodes a protein with similarity to follistatin, an activin-binding protein. It contains an FS module, a follistatin-like sequence containing 10 conserved cysteine residues.
